If you are an ultimate sports fan then it should be no problem following the Cricket World Cup fever that has captivated the Caribbean, most European, Asian and African countries. This is a long anticipated event and the locals are definitely supporting the sport that is in their own 'backyaads'. So far most of the teams have proven their worth and the 'under dogs' have out shun some of the highly ranked and favoured teams. For example, teams such as Ireland and Bangladesh have definitely proven that they have love for the sport and as such they have beaten 2nd and 4th place ranked teams to qualify for the Super 8 Round. Ireland has demonstrated lots of love, determination and a drive to win, they truly are a surprise team in getting so far in the competition. While some teams have just blatantly embarrassed themselves and fellow countrymen and any dreams they might have had of winning the world cup as they were quickly eliminated from the First Round. Teams such as Bermuda and Kenya absolutely followed this path.
With the Super 8 Round almost over it is obvious as to which teams will be advancing to the Semi Finals. My picks for the Semi Finals are Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and South Africa. England is trying but their efforts do not seem to be enough to get them closer to winning the cup. I will not even bother to talk about the West Indies Cricket Team as they have done nothing more than embarrassed this vast region.

I live in the Caribbean region and I am ashame to say so because of how the West Indies Cricket Team continues to waste tax payers hard earn money when they go to a match only to be disappointed. This is not the first that they are disappointing their fans but just like the last times when they were on a losing streak the fan based died out and the stadiums got empty and emptier. It is a shame
Well one of the greatest cricketers to ever live Brian Charles Lara resigns from the international cricket scene after the West Indies lost their final match in the Super 8 Round and saddened the hearts and spirits of the Caribbean people as he was unable to lead his team to World Cup victories
